Music Ministry Presents: Samson Tarpeh

The country of Liberia is still feeling the effects of the brutal 14-year civil war.  They are in need of healing and spiritual development.  We have been asked to help our Liberian brothers and sisters in supporting the Agape National Academy of Music based in Monrovia, Liberia.

ANAM is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that exists to:

  1. redeem and make young children successful through the arts
  2. to develop young Liberians to be leaders in worship and the arts in their community
  3. provide professional piano instruction to children

The school opened in 2008 with 19 students and 2 teachers.  They had over 100 students and 17 teachers by 2012.  The school was forced to close in 2014 due to the Ebola outbreak.  It reopened in January 2016.

The founder and director of ANAM is Samson Tarpeh.  He is currently in the U.S. after recently obtaining his Master’s Degree in Community Development.  He also holds a degree in Piano Performance.

Mr. Tarpeh will provide a benefit concert in our sanctuary on Sunday, March 18 at 6 pm.  A love offering will be taken which will benefit the Agape National Academy of Music in Monrovia, Liberia.

For more information contact Bill Steele, Minister of Music or 770.963.0386, ext. 115.
