Prayer Labyrinth Experience led by Rev. Sheri Smith
"The Prayer Labyrinth is a path hand painted on a huge canvas that is traditionally used by the church as a prayer tool. As you know some of us are kinesthetic learners which means that we learn best from hands on activities rather than simply being told how to do something. My favorite way of describing the Labyrinth is that it is “Something to do while we wait to hear from God.” I firmly believe that prayer must be a two way conversation and we are not made to listen, so, the labyrinth helps us to learn the art of listening as our feet move and we pay attention to the pattern of the path, our voices are silent and our minds are focused on God. This allows our hearts to hear that still small voice that the world sometimes silences with noise."
