Villa Lodge Outreach
"Feed My Sheep"
Someone needs YOU!
Our church's ministry to the residents of Villa Lodge needs you!  We have scheduled for the remainder of the year various dates where you can come out and be a part of helping to feed the sheep at Villa Lodge.  Villa Lodge is an extended stay hotel just a few blocks from FUMC on Highway 29.  Many of the families that stay there are in need of food and clothing.

Contact Linda Allen (lindallen@bellsouth.net) or Lisa Manning (lisaman@bellsouth.net) for more information about how you can be involved.

Children's Clothing and Shoes Needed
The First Baptist Church of Lawrenceville serves the community through a clothing mission.  Currently, they need gently worn children's clothing and shoes.  Please take donations directly to their facility on 165 South Clayton Street in Lawrenceville.

Welcome Family Promise Guests
January 31-February 7
Next week FUMC will become a home for families who are participating in Family Promise.  Family Promise is an organization supported by our church which helps families find permanent housing and assistance while they are homeless.  Each evening the families will gather for a meal and fellowship and then spend the night in our church.  In the morning they will leave bright and early for school, jobs, or the Family Promise Day Center where they search for housing or jobs.  Please help us welcome these families while they are with us and make them feel at home.  This is an amazing opportunity to show hospitality through the Body of Christ.  For more information about Family Promise, visit their website at  www.familypromisegwinnett.org/
If you would like to sign up to help us host the families during the week, go to the fumclv.org homepage and click on the 'SERVE' tab and then 'FAMILY PROMISE'.  We still have room for you to help!
