United Methodists profess the historic Christian faith. We hold true to the mission statement of the United Methodist Church, which is “to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.”
At FUMC Lawrenceville, our church’s mission is “to make disciples of Jesus Christ who love God, love others and reach the world.”
On Sunday Mornings, we offer three different primary worship services in the Sanctuary:
- 8:00 a.m. — Traditional worship with a Sanctuary Choir
- 9:30 a.m. — Modern Traditional worship with a Praise Band
- 11:00 a.m. — Traditional with a Chancel Choir
In addition to our Sanctuary worship services, we also offer other Sunday worship opportunities for different groups.
- Children’s worship in The Studio at 11:00 a.m.
- Student worship in The Warehouse at 11:00 a.m.
- Liberian Fellowship in Rooms 336/338 at 12:00 p.m.
- Worship in The Warehouse at 9:30 a.m.
You can bring your Bible if you have one. While each of our worship services is Bible-based, Bibles are provided in the Sanctuary pews for your convenience.
We offer both traditional and modern worship services. We encourage all to come as you are.
Holy Communion is celebrated multiple times during the year at all morning services. United Methodists practice open communion; all present may receive communion if they so desire.
Both members and non-members are welcome to have their wedding ceremony here.
We have three possible locations for wedding venues: the Sanctuary, the Upper Room and the Campground.
We are located at 395 West Crogan Street, just outside of downtown Lawrenceville, Ga.
We recommend that guests park in the designated guest parking outside the Welcome Center. This parking area is on the East side of the building facing downtown. Parking in the guest parking spaces provides the easiest access to the Welcome Center and the Sanctuary.
Look for our Welcome Desk when you enter the Welcome Center, in the lobby next to the Family Center. There you can find volunteers who are ready to help you and your family find your way.
Visit our Location page to see a full map of our buildings and grounds.
New members are received by transfer from other churches and by profession of their faith in Jesus Christ.
If you are interested in joining, visit our Membership page or check “Ready to Join” in the pew registration book and someone will contact you.
We offer a variety of Sunday School classes for all age groups.
You can find more detailed information on our Groups page, or by visiting the page of each respective age group.
Yes, nurseries are provided on Sundays for all three Sanctuary worship services at 8:00, 9:30 and 11:00.
We have excellent programs for children on both Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. This includes both time in small groups and opportunities for worship. Visit our Children’s Ministry page for full details.
Visit our Student Ministry page for all the details on exciting activities and to learn how you can get connected.
We offer many volunteer opportunities for church members to get involved. This includes chances to serve within our church, in our community and internationally on mission trips.
It is our goal to be 100% transparent in dealing with the budget and financial reporting of our church.
If you would like a copy of our current monthly financial statement or have any questions regarding gifts to the church, you can contact Jeff Poynter.
