Our mission in the Music Ministry is to use and develop the gift of music to lead and inspire worshipers on their way to discipleship and to share the Glory of God throughout the community.

Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir leads worship on Sunday mornings during the 11:00 a.m. traditional service.

Song selections range from classical music to traditional anthems and spirituals. This group presents two concerts during the year with professional orchestra.

Members of the Chancel Choir meet for rehearsal:

  • Wednesday nights from 7:30 — 9:15 p.m.
  • Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m.
  • In the choir room


Sanctuary Choir

The Sanctuary Choir leads worship on Sunday mornings during the 8:00 a.m. traditional service.

Members of the Sanctuary Choir meet for rehearsal:

  • Monday nights from 7:00 — 8:30 p.m.
  • Sunday mornings at 7:30 a.m.
  • In the choir room


First Praise Band

The First Praise Band leads worship on Sunday mornings during the 9:30 a.m. modern traditional service.

This ensemble sings contemporary Christian music accompanied by keyboard, guitar and drums.

Members of the First Praise Band meet for rehearsal:

  • Tuesday nights from 7:00 — 9:00 p.m.
  • In the Sanctuary
  • Sunday mornings at 9:15 a.m.
  • In the choir room



Rejoice is our ladies ensemble that sings all styles of sacred music, including classical, spirituals, gospel and folk.

This group sings in various church services throughout the year, along with the Christmas concert in the winter, Campmeeting in July and concerts with the Men of Praise.

Members of Rejoice meet for rehearsal:

  • Wednesday nights from 6:00 — 6:45 p.m.

Men of Praise

Men of Praise is a gospel-type ensemble that sings intermittently throughout the year.

Members of the Men of Praise meet for rehearsal:

  • Wednesday nights from 6:30 — 7:30 p.m.
  • In the choir room



The Asbury Ringers is our advanced, auditioned handbell ensemble.

The group performs occasionally in worship, as well as in the annual Christmas concert and a concert in the spring.

Jam Sessions Children’s Choir

Jam Sessions is the children’s choir, which is open to 3-year-olds through 5th grade.

Jam Sessions is a time spent learning about music and how to sing with pretty sounds.  The children will also be learning and using rhythm instruments.

Members of Jam Sessions meet for rehearsal:

  • Wednesday night from 6:00 — 6:25 p.m.
  • January – March and August – December
  • Prior to Wednesday night Kids Zone activities
