UPDATE September 1, 2016:
On Tuesday, August 30, our Church Council held a meeting to discuss our Map Making team’s fulfillment map. Click here to download the complete fulfillment map packet.
UPDATE May 15, 2016: Click here to read our Future Story!
On Sunday, March 20, the church celebrated a milestone in our Spiritual Strategic Journey. Three Writing Teams presented their Future Stories of Ministry to almost 300 people. The creative presentations visualized what our church might “look” like in 2026. The teams focused on worship, missions, or discipleship. At the conclusion, people completed Response Forms and selected the story they most preferred.
The results were . . . AMAZING!
After an eight month journey of prayer and discernment, the congregation selected ALL THREE STORIES in almost equal numbers! Here are the results:
34.5% – A Disciple-Making Church
33.5% – A Worshipping Church
32.0% – A Missional Church
This affirms what people have repeatedly expressed: discipleship, worship, and missions are all vital aspects of our life together. The responses reveal that the church’s mission statement has become a part of our DNA. We are called to make disciples of Jesus Christ who Love God (Worship), Love Others (Small Groups), and Reach the World (Missions).
Representatives from the three Writing Teams are uniting to form a Future Ministry Writing Team that will present a vision for God’s future. We will have two combined worship services on Pentecost Sunday, May 15, at 9:30 and 11:00 in the Sanctuary to celebrate the Spirit’s vision for our community of faith.
Please be in prayer for our Future Ministry Writing Team members.
To God be the glory as the Lord continues to accomplish great things in our midst!
